Tempest Storm - Legendary Burlesque Pin-up Stripper Dated even by Elvis Presley
Tempest Storm was THE woman who other burlesque dancers aspired to be. With a massive rack that she flaunted for the guys wherever this vintage stripper danced, a fiery mane of long red hair and an equally fiery stage presence, this buxom queen of striptease made a name for herself that became legendary among Burlesque performers. And she kept her title of the top performer in men's clubs for not just years, but decades.
You would never guess that a woman as prominent as this large-breasted darling had very humble - indeed, you could call them tragic - beginnings. Tempest Storm was obviously not her real name. She was born Annie Blanche Banks on February 29, 1928, in the agricultural, central Georgia town of Eastman (USA).
She had a hard upbringing which involved abuse at the hands of her parents and even rape by a local gang. Being thoroughly fed up with such rough circumstances, she ran away from home and ended up on the West Coast. However, there is a rumor this entire legend is bunk. She once told legendary photographer Russ Meyer (who was her occasional lover) that her real name was Annie Locke and she was from Daytona Beach, Florida (USA).
Tempest Storm goes to national fame with her burlesque performances and meets Elvis
A woman as beautiful as Tempest Storm obviously knew her looks would take her far in life. Sometime in the early '50s, she decided to start dancing onstage and stripping for a living and landed a job at a place called "The El Rey" in Oakland, California (USA). Her fame spread along the West Coast, and she moved to Portland, Oregon to dance in "the Star Theater".
Sometime during Tempest Storm's stay in Portland, she got married to a guy named John Becker, who owned an establishment called "the Capital Theater" that featured burlesque dancers. Of course, this busty entertainer decided to move over to her husband's stage. "The Star Theater", no doubt feeling slighted by this major league performer, brought in Becker's ex-wife and dancer Arabelle Andre to compete with the Capital's feature act. This sparked a duel that "Life Magazine" dubbed "the burlesque war" in a November 30, 1953 edition of that publication. Of course, with nationwide exposure came national opportunity.
Tempest Storm was soon on the road and a frequent performer in Las Vegas, Reno, New York City and many other cities coast to coast. She also gained new friends. There is a famous photo of this massive-mammaried dance queen rubbing up against The King himself, Elvis Presley.
Tempest and Elvis met in a promotional photo shoot in Las Vegas in 1956 where their romantic relationship began. Peachtree Publishers published Tempest's autobiography named "The Lady is a Vamp" in 1987 where lots of interesting facts about the relationship between Elvis Presley and Tempest Storm appear. The following excerpt from this book citing Tempest's memoirs is quite eloquent: "The one thing Elvis and I had not done was make love." And Elvis once said to her: "I'm as horny as a billy goat in a pepper patch, I'll race you into bed!" The gossip columns of newspapers had labelled Tempest and Elvis "breakfast pals" and had speculated that they slept together.
With a whopping rack and exotic good looks, this busty honey mesmerizes men everywhere
It is easy to see why gentleman flocked to sit stage-side to get a close-up view of this tempting babe and her 5 feet 6 inches (1.68 m), 44-25-35 (112-64-89 cm) frame. Her tits were kind of spectacular. They were incredibly firm but natural, with large areolas but smaller sized nipples. Her bosom measured out at a whopping "DD". Tempest Storm had very slender arms and a tiny waist, which only made her boobs look bigger.
Rumor has it that, being a crafty businesswoman, this performer had her "moneymakers" (her pet name for her tits) insured by Lloyds of London for a million dollars. When asked if she was ever embarrassed about her ample endowments, she answered, "They don't make 'em too big for this business."

And the rest of this darling was worth taking in as well. This retro pornstar had a gorgeous face which reminded a person of Elizabeth Taylor in her prime. Her long, curly red hair cascaded over her shoulder and was always styled to perfection. She had strong, firm dancer's legs.
Her ass was smooth and plump, but its size was no doubt attributable to muscles developed from her frequent dancing and stage performances. This sexy woman's pussy was trimmed at the edges to accommodate the skimpy costumes she frequently wore on stage, and she had a beautiful crop of pubic hair atop her twat that was commonly seen on women in the '50s.
No matter what this engaging woman put on, it looked magnificent. Her body was made for wearing corsets and bustiers, shoving her breasts up and thrusting her cleavage for all to absorb. Her dancer's legs and ass look totally amazing in fishnet stockings, which she frequently wore. Of course, see-through negligee could not hide the simple massiveness of her tits.
A woman as captivating as Tempest Storm could not be relegated to the striptease stage only. With the support of legendary photographer and director Russ Meyer, she also became a pin-up sensation, appearing in multiple men's publications in the '50s and '60s.
Tempest Storm goes from burlesque stage and pin-up model to the silver screen
Meyer also put this well-endowed knockout in front of the movie camera and released a number of photo-packs and 16mm Kodachrome films in 1950 featuring her under the title "French Peep Show". He subsequently went on to shoot her in the pictures "After Midnight" (1951) and "Striptease Girl" (1952).
This classic sex star then came to the attention of the legendary softcore porn producer Irving Klaw, who released the biggest film of Tempest's career, "Teaserama" in 1955. This had the burlesque queen appearing opposite the legendary pin-up girl Bettie Page. Both of these famous pin-up girls can be seen in a fantastic color video on Vintage Cuties if you join now.
Klaw then went on to put Tempest Storm in the 1956 release "Buxom Beautease". Two more films that had this big-breasted dancer gyrating around on the silver screen were the loop film "Striptease Revealed" and "The Big, Big Bust".
Tempest was at the top of the burlesque and striptease world for decades. She finally retired at the age of sixty from public performing. However, in an act that can only be described as "bravado", this queen of the stage came out of retirement and performed onstage at the 2006 Exotic World Weekend just to show the current generation what Burlesque was all about. By the way, to the math-challenged, she was swaying around the stage at the spry age of 78!
